The USPTO has a wealth of resources for individuals interested in learning more about protecting their intellectual property and who need assistance doing so.  Learn about these various resources, many of which are free, and put them to work for you as you begin or continue down your path of innovation.  The session will also include a focus on the USPTO’s COVID-19 relief and assistance efforts.

Tomeka Oubichon is the Eastern Regional Outreach Officer for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia. Ms. Oubichon supports the strategic plans and goals of the agency with a focus on outreach and stakeholder engagement.

She has served in various roles from Patent Searcher in the Biochemical and Computer Architecture and Software areas to Training Specialist. Ms. Oubichon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Xavier University and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University. In addition, Ms. Oubichon is a former participant of the post-graduate Associate Fellowship Program at the National Library of Medicine.
