SUMMARY:New York State Library's Personal History Initiative - Tell Your Library Story
DESCRIPTION:The NYS Library’s Personal History Initiative collects and 
 preserves stories from individual New Yorkers and New York communities. 
 This initiative started during the COVID-19 pandemic as a place for New 
 Yorkers to share their accounts of that time and has grown into a space for 
 collecting and presenting stories of all kinds. For National Library week 
 we will share the history of this initiative's creation and development\, 
 and share the many book and library related prompts and stories that have 
 been added since. We will highlight a more recently added section created 
 for collecting library histories\, Tell Us About Your Library\, and share 
 ways your library can engage the community to spread library love.\n\n
